Seth's Motorcycle Trip

School ended last Thursday. For Seth, this was very exciting because it meant that the time for his 12 year old motorcycle trip had finally arrived. Seth turned 12 in January, but that is of course not the best time to ride out in the open air. So the warm weather and the end of school couldn't come soon enough. To earn the trip, seth had to complete his 'Faith in God' requirements and complete the 'Book of Mormon.' Somewhat of of a shameless bribe, but I prefer to think of it as a really, really healthy carrot we dangled in front of him. :) Seth was up late the night before his 12th birthday finishing up his memorization of the 'Articles of Faith.' But by golly, he did it. He finished up all that was required to earn his trip. (To see pics of Gabe's 12 year old trip to Yellowstone last summer, click HERE).

Seth is a warm weather guy and he is excited for his trip to Arizona. The Grand Canyon will be the main stop, with the Mogollon Rim, Sedona, Canyon de Chelle, and the Petrified Forest being additional highlights. Another big highlight in the trip will be the stop at the Snowflake Temple where they will do Baptisms. I am really glad they are having this experience...and I will be glad to see them in a few days.

Awesome! It should be a cool trip with lots of fun to see spots and beautiful country. It will be a memory maker.

How fun for both of them! Darin is on a treat with Easton as we speak. Darn, I wish I would have thought of the whole dangling a "really healthy carrot" idea... Paris is in heaven with the "gilly girls"

btw-no pads on your trampoline?? Did you grow up in Page?

That is so awesome! How fun for Seth and what a great father son bonding trip. I keep thinking Wyatt and John need to go on one of those...maybe without the motorcycle!
