Quilt Class-Turning Twenty

Our first quilt class for the Turning Twenty class went great! Everyone had beautiful fabrics and all of the women got their quilts cut out and ready to sew into blocks. Most of the women have either never quilted or never sewn, so we are starting with the basics. We are using a quilt my mom made my sister Kim for her 40th birthday as our example to emulate. It is quilted really cute with large stitches using a 5 weight DMC floss. This way, everyone can quilt their own quilt on their laps in just a few hours (theoretically)! Homework is to sew all blocks together, then next month we will assemble our 20 finished blocks.
